Barcelona’s Txell Miras Shows Some Sharp Angles in a Clipped, Clasped and Well Constructed Collection



Fashion One invites you to join us as we take a close up look at the Txell Miras autumn/winter 2015 collection from Barcelona Fashion Week. Get an exclusive look at the latest designs as we bring you highlights from the spectacular runway show.

The Spanish designer and illustrator showcased a stunning new collection entitled “Angles” which included conceptual cardboard pieces constructed from boxes, paper and tubes. The clothes kept to a limited palette of black, white, grey and deep burgundy red with layers and contrasting textures adding impact and depth. The focus was on contemporary tailoring but there seemed to be hints of historical influence particularly in the medieval chain-mail knits and tabards in addition to some classic military and equestrian themes.

Knee length shorts and hip skimming trousers were paired with sheer layered tops, turtleneck sweaters and structured asymmetric jackets accessorized with oversized knitted collars, knit chain belts and elaborate headpieces. Utility fastenings clasped together folds and panels on slanted jagged tailoring in techno fabrics. Cut out sections, cropped pieces and diving necklines on long blazers revealed seductive sections of skin whilst other ensembles kept covered up and played with a sense of futuristic androgyny.
