Dolce & Gabbana Present a Love Letter with Flowers to “Mammas” Everywhere

Fashion One invites you to take a look at the Dolce & Gabbana autumn/winter 15 presentation held at Milan Fashion Week. Enjoy a glimpse of who the photographers were snapping at the photo call as the guests, including Anna Dello Russo, arrived at the venue before watching highlights from the beautiful runway show.

The collection entitled “Mamma” was a celebration of motherhood and a tribute to mom’s everywhere with a tableaux of 11 mothers and their children, posed on the steps at the head of the catwalk. Some models carried children in their arms and there were even pregnant models strutting down the runway in the Italian design duo’s latest creations.

Accessories included a wide array of handbags from small shoulder strap bags to oversized totes in addition to bejeweled sparkling headbands, tiaras and customized studded headphones.

A sea of dresses from mini shifts to full skirted ankle length numbers as well as cape jackets, coats and skirts were executed in a sugary palette of white, pastel pink and baby blue hues. Outfits were adorned with lacework, floral details and cute declarations of love spelled out in sequins and beads as well as naive children’s drawings and scribbles printed onto luxurious gowns. Roses were another recurring motif appearing in print and appliqué which looked especially striking on the darker red and monochrome pieces.

With an overall nostalgic 60s feeling and sentimental theme the show featured an abundance of wearable daywear for women of all ages, all you need now is the baby!
