Paris Fashion Week: Highlights Part 2

Paris was thronged with designers, press and buyers as industry from around the globe descended into the city for the fashion festivities of Paris Fashion Week. Fashion One was on the ground to interview designers and capture the most important runways of the seasons. Join us for the 2nd of our 3 part series where we select highlights from Paris Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2015-16.

Damir Doma

Presented for the second time in the intimate surroundings of a home, Damir Doma’s collection used rich fabrics and luxurious texture to create cozy and enveloping cocoon like garments perfect for the icy winter. A collection that typified the designers style, as he explains “...it’s all about texture, it’s about the definition of luxury, the definition of what my work is about, and what my brand is about. A lot of construction, a lot of shape, a very typically ‘me’ collection”. The resulting collection exuded a sense of comfort but was still rich with the designer’s skilled tailoring.

Rochas

The third season designed by Alessandro Dell'Acqua for Rochas. Discussing the collection he said “For me this season was important to have a clean, chic silhouette, with very very important materials, of course with the Rochas attitude with the volumes, the materials, the embroidery, the prints”. The classic silhouettes gave a sense of both austere minimalism and nonchalant glamour to the show.

Dries Van Noten

The Belgian designer is on fire with yet another another season proving to be one of the most exciting, dynamic collections of the week. The master of pattern and color produced a rich opulent collection that fused a host of reference points from the orient, military garments and the vibrant world of insects into a singular vision of baroque elegance.
