Australia Looks Forward to Spring and Summer with the MYER Fashion Lunch Event
From the Telstra Perth Fashion festival in western Australia we invite you to join us as we take a look backstage and on the runway at at the MYER fashion lunch event.
MYER is the largest department store group in Australia, retailing a wide variety of upscale fashion brands including the likes of Alex Perry, Aurelio Costarella, Toni Maticevski, sass & bide and many more. The annual event showcases the new collections for the upcoming spring summer season whilst guests enjoy delicious foods and wines.
Designer Aurelio Costarella gives us a few clues about the color palette for his new designs and we catch up with MYER brand ambassador, model, TV presenter and former British athlete Kris Smith who was also taking part in the event and apparently feeling both excited and nervous to be there.
We could feel the buzz backstage as the hair and make-up teams transformed the models for the special daytime event, loose milkmaid braided hair and fresh dewy spring skin with glittering lids were the order of the day. The collections had it all from hot pink and red party dresses to stylish monochrome suits and bold geometric pastel print pieces.
Kerry Davenport, the general manager of MYER, was thrilled with the fantastic event and very excited about the new season’s colours and styles hitting the stores.
