Behind the Scenes at the American Music Awards 2014

FashionOne takes you exclusively behind the scenes at the American Music Awards 2014 to get a sneak peek at what really goes on at rehearsals.

The American Music Awards took place in November 2014 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and winners included One Direction, Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Carrie Underwood to name a few. The night was presented by Pitbull and went off without a hitch. We went behind the scenes to chat to some of the performers from the evening that were rehearsing for the big show.

Magic did a collaboration with Wyclef Jean and remarked on just how bigger fans they were after they’d had their rehearsal and how much they are learning from working and performing with him.

We then spoke to Jessie J about her rehearsal rituals which including less singing and more snooping. One of the first things she does is stalk the cardboard faces in the seats to work out whom she’s going to be sitting next too. We then caught up with Pitbull after his rehearsal who explained how the American Music Awards is working to bring together all types of music genres and program a show of this nature together successfully.

And what a night it was! The red carpet was full of glitz and glamour as models, actresses, actors and popstars attended the events and we even saw the likes of J-Lo and the Kardashian’s present awards. Want to see more action from the night itself? Check out our highlights video too.
