The Inbetweeners 2 Movie Premiere London
Popular British sitcom The Inbetweeners, now adapted into a successful film franchise, saw the release of the sequel The Inbetweeners 2 in London.
The cast of main characters, which includes British actors Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley as Jay Cartwright, looked dapper as they attended the event and spoke about the film. The four stars took photos with fans and signed autographs.
“We are so lucky with our fans,” said Joe Thomas. “They’re just incredible. They’ve been waiting here all day; it’s amazing. They’re just lovely people.”
On the subject of whether fans often confuse the actors with their characters, Bird, who plays Will McKenzie, commented, “A little bit—but that’s a good thing because it means they love the show and they’re so passionate about the show that they sort of believe it’s real, which is great. That’s only a good sign for us I think.”
Questioned about the success of the first film and any pressure they might be feeling, Harrison, who plays Neil Sutherland, explained, “The only pressure that we feel is that we want to make the funniest film possible so that all of these people go to the cinema and laugh more than at any other film. That’s the only pressure we feel, not numbers and box office stuff. That’s nothing to do with us.”
