Victoria Beckham’s Charity & House of Holland in Japan

From her beginning as a member of British pop group Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham has become an internationally recognized style icon and fashion designer. Following an invitation from Vogue editor Anna Wintour to visit South Africa to see first-hand the plight of women infected with the HIV virus, Victoria Beckham has partnered with theoutnet.com to sell hundreds of items from her wardrobe to raise money for the charity, Mothers2Mothers. The Mothers2Mothers charity educates and employs mothers living with HIV and aims to prevent the spread of the the virus within communities, and to generally improve the health and well-being of the women and their families. The charity auction will see Victoria Beckham select 600 iconic pieces from her extensive wardrobe to sell, with items ranging from from her early Spice Girls days through to clothing worn at catwalk appearances, parties, awards shows and other events extensively documented and photographed by the world’s press.

London-based House of Holland, selected as the winner of the DHL Exported program for Japan, will join the legion of participating brands at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo in October. Designer Henry Holland looks set to have an ongoing relationship with the Japanese fashion environment with an announcement that he will also participate in the following fashion week in Tokyo next March.

Brooke Shields has announced a collaborative collection for MAC Cosmetics. The actress and former model’s Icon collection will arrive in stores in October.
