Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2013 Retrospective

The classic 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was based around the themes Birds of Paradise, Snow Angels, British Invasion and Parisian Nights.

Popular Victoria’s Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lindsay Ellignson, Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo and Lily Aldridge, among others, all coiffed with long, glossy, wavy locks and made-up to perfection, brought down the house as they strutted their stuff on the runway.

Candice Swanepoel was the lucky Angel chosen to wear the USD$10 million Fantasy Bra and matching belt, which were made of 18-carat gold, diamonds, rubies, yellow sapphires and a 52-carat-ruby. This outfit was the most expensive to be shown since 2005, when former Angel Gisele Bündchen modeled the Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra. Bündchen also holds the Guinness World Record for Victoria’s Secret, having worn the most expensive lingerie set ever made, valued at $15 million in the 2000 show. Fellow Angel Lindsay Ellingson also made fashion history as she sported the brand’s first-ever 3-D printed costume.

Plenty of A-listers were present at the show, with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine on hand to cheer his fiancée Behati Prinsloo, while Olivia Palermo, Valentino Gavarani and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld also graced the front row.

Music for the show was presented by Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, Neon Jungle and A Great Big World.

The 2014 show will be held in London, with popular British models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn rumored to be featured once again.
